ALBUM:
1(A) HOME MADE APPLE PIE AND YANKEE INGENUITY (Fredlo 6727) 1967 R5

NB: (1) reissued on Del-Val in 1993 (SC).

Just five hundred copies of this rare garage-style album were made. A private release by high school kids, it was funded by their parents and mostly given away to friends and family. Musically it's a mixture of covers of Music Machine and Country Joe and The Fish songs with standards like Louie, Louie and some originals too. The band hailed from Iowa and like many of these albums it's pretty disappointing musically.

Their version of Talk Talk has also resurfaced on Oil Stains, Vol. 2 (LP).
