VITAL FARIAS - 1978

Vital Farias was born on the site Stone D'Água, municipality of Taperoá, State of Paraíba.
Vital learned to read and write with the sisters. Vital lived in Taperoá until the completion of the junior high course. At the age of 18 he moved to the capital of the state of Paraíba, João Pessoa, while leaving the military service continued in João Pessoa and pursued his studies in Lyceu Paraibano. In that period, he began studying guitar on his own. Then he went on to teach guitar lessons and musical theory at the Conservatory of Music of João Pessoa. In 1975 he moved to Rio de Janeiro, where he participated in several important artistic events, including the part "drop of Water" by Chico Buarque de Hollanda. In 1976 graduated to College of Music, formed in 1981. The first recorded composition of vital Farias was "mother", in partnership with Livardo Alves. In 1978 he recorded his first "vital Faria" disc. The second, "Taperoá", emerged two years later. At the end of the years 80, Vital decided to stop recording for a while to devote himself to studying. In 2002 he produced his daughter's debut album, Giovanna, with 15 compositions of her authorship and released the album "Vital would live and to the Living Dead". That same year he received the title of a citizen of Rio de Janeiro.
